The Comfort of Independence
July is a meaningful time to reflect on independence, family, and the everyday moments that make home feel special.
In this month’s Careletter, StayHome.Care shares “The Comfort of Independence,” a reminder that independence does not always mean doing everything alone. Sometimes, the right support helps protect familiar routines, meaningful connections, and the comfort of being at home.
This issue also celebrates America’s 250th Independence Day, highlights little things that can make a big difference, and shares a simple Red, White, and Blue Memory Jar activity families can enjoy together throughout the month.
We are also proud to recognize Makynna Smith as our July 2026 Circle of Trust Honoree. Her compassion, steadiness, and dedication reflect the heart of StayHome.Care and the meaningful difference caregivers make each day.
The July Careletter also includes an important caregiver update about new Nebraska caregiver requirements, including CPR/AED and First Aid certification and the required online Care Academy course.
At StayHome.Care, we are grateful for the families, caregivers, and community members who make our work meaningful. Thank you for being part of our July Careletter.
